Air Duct Cleaning

We clean residential air ducts across Florida, pulling dust, construction debris, and mold-friendly grime out of supply and return runs so your air conditioning system moves air the way it was designed to. Homeowners usually call us after a renovation, after a water event, when vents blow visible dust, or when a musty smell shows up every time the AC cycles on. Give us a call and we will look at the ducts, the blower, and the return before quoting any cleaning work.

What an air duct cleaning actually involves

We start at the air handler and work outward. Registers and grilles come off, then we run brushes and high-suction vacuum equipment through the trunk lines and branch runs, capturing what comes loose instead of blowing it back into the rooms. The return side gets the same attention, since that is where most household dust enters. We clean the blower compartment and coil face where access allows, replace the filter, and put everything back sealed. Most single-system homes are a one-day job.

What we check while we are in there

Open ducts tell us plenty. We look for crushed or disconnected flex runs, insulation that has slumped away from the metal, and interior surfaces that are damp rather than dusty. Damp means a humidity or condensate problem, and cleaning alone will not fix it. We check static pressure and airflow at the registers, confirm the return is large enough for the equipment, and note any duct sitting in a hot attic without proper wrap. You get the findings before we recommend anything else.

How we decide cleaning is the right call

We only recommend it when there is something to remove. Visible debris at the registers, drywall dust from remodeling, rodent or insect evidence, smoke residue, or a musty odor that tracks with the blower running are all real reasons. Ordinary settled dust in a well-sealed system usually is not. In our humid climate, the more common fix is sealing leaks, correcting the condensate path, or resizing a starved return. If that is what we find, we tell you and skip the cleaning.

Air Duct Cleaning — quick answers

How often do Florida homes need air duct cleaning?

There is no fixed schedule. Most homes go many years between cleanings. Renovation work, a water intrusion event, pest activity, or a persistent musty smell when the AC runs are better triggers than a calendar date.

Will duct cleaning help my allergies or IAQ?

It can help if the ducts are genuinely dirty or holding moisture. If they are clean, better filtration, sealing leaky returns, and controlling indoor humidity usually do more for IAQ than another cleaning.

Do you use chemicals or foggers in the ducts?

We lead with mechanical cleaning: brushes and contained vacuum. If we find microbial growth, we discuss treatment options and the moisture source first, because sealing the cause matters more than any spray.

How it works

  1. Step 1

    Tell us the symptom

Call or fill in the quote form and describe what changed. Warm air, short cycling, a breaker that keeps tripping, water stains on the ceiling. That detail helps us bring the right parts.

  2. Step 2

    We diagnose on site

A technician checks the thermostat, the electrical side, refrigerant performance, airflow and the condensate line. We find the actual cause instead of swapping parts and hoping the problem stays away.

  3. Step 3

    You approve the repair

We explain what failed, what it takes to fix it, and how long the part is likely to last. Nothing gets replaced until you say go, and we test the system before leaving.

Why homeowners call us

  • Built for the salt airCoastal Florida is hard on outdoor equipment. Coils corrode, contactors pit, fan motors seize early. We look for that damage during every air conditioning repair so a small failure does not take the whole system down.
  • Condensate lines we actually clearBy late summer, drain lines clog with algae and shut systems off on the float switch. We clear the line, check the pan and the safety switch, and show you what caused the backup.
  • Heating tooCold snaps still arrive. We do heating repair and heater repair on heat pumps, strip heat and furnace repair where homes have one, so the system works in January as well as August.
  • Plain talk about older systemsIf a repair makes sense, we repair it. If a unit is failing in ways that will keep costing you, we say that too and lay out the options. You decide, not us.
  • All major brands, gas & electricEvery major HVAC brand, gas and electric, handled by an independent crew.
  • Straight answersWhen a replacement beats a repair, we tell you, sometimes before we roll a truck.
