Top-rated independent heating and cooling across South Florida

Central AC Installation

We install central AC systems in homes across Florida, replacing a worn or failed system with a matched indoor and outdoor unit sized for your house. Homeowners usually call when the old system runs constantly and still cannot hold temperature, when repairs start stacking up, or when a compressor quits in the middle of a long cooling season. Call us and we will come look at what you have, measure the load, and tell you plainly whether installation or air conditioning repair makes more sense.

What a central AC installation involves

A central AC installation is two connected halves. Outside, a condenser sits on a pad with electrical and refrigerant line connections. Inside, an air handler or coil moves cooled air through your existing duct system. We recover refrigerant from the old system, disconnect it, set the new equipment, run new line set or flush what is there, tie in condensate drainage, and commission the system with the thermostat. Most single-system homes are a one-day job, and we clean up before we leave.

What we check and install

We start with a load calculation instead of matching the sticker on the old unit, because additions, new windows and attic work all change the number. We look at duct sizing and leakage, return air, the condensate path and the float switch, the disconnect and breaker, and the pad height for storm water. Outdoor units in coastal areas take salt spray hard, so we check clearances and airflow around the cabinet. New filter, new thermostat if yours is failing, and a walkthrough of controls at the end.

How we decide replacement is the right call

We recommend installation when the numbers say so, not on a hunch. A failed compressor on an older system, a leaking evaporator coil, or a unit using a phased-out refrigerant usually costs more to chase than to replace. Repeated repairs in one cooling season point the same direction. If your system is holding temperature and the fix is a capacitor, contactor or a cleared condensate line, we tell you that and do the air conditioner repair instead. You get both options and what each one buys you.

Central AC Installation — quick answers

Can I keep my existing ductwork?

Often yes. We inspect for leakage, crushed runs and undersized returns first. If the ducts cannot carry the airflow the new system needs, we repair or resize those sections rather than choke a new unit.

How long does the install take?

Most single-system homes are done in a day. Jobs involving duct modifications, a new pad, electrical changes or a second system can run into a second day. We tell you which before we start.

Do I have to replace both indoor and outdoor units?

Usually yes. The coil and condenser are matched to work together, so pairing a new outdoor unit with an old indoor coil hurts capacity, invites leaks and can void manufacturer coverage.

How it works

  1. Step 1

    Tell us the symptom

Call or fill in the quote form and describe what changed. Warm air, short cycling, a breaker that keeps tripping, water stains on the ceiling. That detail helps us bring the right parts.

  2. Step 2

    We diagnose on site

A technician checks the thermostat, the electrical side, refrigerant performance, airflow and the condensate line. We find the actual cause instead of swapping parts and hoping the problem stays away.

  3. Step 3

    You approve the repair

We explain what failed, what it takes to fix it, and how long the part is likely to last. Nothing gets replaced until you say go, and we test the system before leaving.

Why homeowners call us

  • Built for the salt airCoastal Florida is hard on outdoor equipment. Coils corrode, contactors pit, fan motors seize early. We look for that damage during every air conditioning repair so a small failure does not take the whole system down.
  • Condensate lines we actually clearBy late summer, drain lines clog with algae and shut systems off on the float switch. We clear the line, check the pan and the safety switch, and show you what caused the backup.
  • Heating tooCold snaps still arrive. We do heating repair and heater repair on heat pumps, strip heat and furnace repair where homes have one, so the system works in January as well as August.
  • Plain talk about older systemsIf a repair makes sense, we repair it. If a unit is failing in ways that will keep costing you, we say that too and lay out the options. You decide, not us.
  • All major brands, gas & electricEvery major HVAC brand, gas and electric, handled by an independent crew.
  • Straight answersWhen a replacement beats a repair, we tell you, sometimes before we roll a truck.
